Frequently asked questions
Can I use NavCore in production for free?
Yes. The Core tier works without a license key and includes GPS smoothing, route snapping, progress tracking, route offset prediction, core route builders, and built-in OSRM/Valhalla/ORS providers. Pro modules such as dead reckoning, compound deviation, voice, ETA, geofencing, and parallel-road resolution require a commercial license.
Is there a free trial for Pro?
Yes! Every new Pro subscription starts with a 15-day free trial. Your card is collected at checkout but not charged until day 16. Cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing.
What happens when my Pro license expires?
Navigation does not break. The SDK gracefully falls back to Core features — GPS smoothing, route snapping, and progress tracking all continue working. Only Pro-specific engines (dead reckoning, voice triggers, ETA, geofencing, parallel-road resolver) become unavailable. Your users never experience a crash or a blank screen.
How is the license key applied?
Pass your signed key to new NavCore({ licenseKey }). SDK v1.0.4 keeps a valid license context active even if another instance starts without a key, and Pro engines degrade gracefully when no valid key is present.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel or modify your license subscription at any time through our developer billing portal. If you cancel during your free trial, you are never charged.
